just got back from vietnam some 2 days ago. and I'M MISSING VIETNAM NOWW! its such a nice place to shop and bargain for the products! only a few tourist attractions but then i've only been to Ho Chi Minh City so i'm not sure about the other places like Hanoi etc etc. HAHAHA!

i shall talk about the general stuff first before going into daily details. just in case you feel bored by the great amount of words that i will be typing, you can ignore the rest of the post. HAHAHA!

the city reminds me a lot of malaysia. but maybe greener? lots of trees around but with heavy traffic. they do have broad roads and the traffic lights are more confusing than those in malaysia. there are also millions of motorcycles.

you see, in singapore, the pedestrians stop to let the cars move, the motorcycles give way to the cars, the cars give way to buses. but right in vietnam, its totally opposite! the cars and motorcycles give way to the pedestrians! hahaha! cool right? but then the direction of the vehicles can be from all direction. hahaha! so try not to look at the wrong direction while crossing the roads. hahaha!

the city is also very clean! you can't find rubbish bins anywhere and you seldom find rubbish on the streets! not like singapore where rubbish bins and rubbish are everywhere. like even in the restaurants, they are very clean because they are able to clear the tables and rubbish very fast and efficiently!

the people are rather friendly too! haha like some would gladly allow you to go into their house to use their toilets. others would try to use gestures to understand and try to communicate with us! ((:

what else? oh yes, they love to eat vegetables. especially mint leaves. hahaha! they even have vegetable juice, ice tea with mint flavour. hahahaha! we even ate the whole stalk together with the leaves during our day 3 lunch. the restaurant people were laughing at us like mad! hahahaha!

anyway, its good that we din go on a tour group. otherwise we won't have enough time to buy all that we wanted, eat all that we like and rest anytime and anywhere! heehee.

overall, it was a good trip! enjoyable, eye opener, relaxing and fun! ((: just that the tourguide din understand what we wanted and even taught us to eat the whole stalk together with the leaves! hahaha! but uncle gc's friend, mr nhan, he's good in bringing us delicious food, good reccommendations and humour! hahahha! had a much more enjoyable time with him than the tourguide. no offence yeah? ((:
